Little is known of this weapon except the Covenant's orginal test subject was SPARTAN Rogue 177. After the events of Halo: SPARTAN 177. The XO of the SPARTAN Rogue squad, and a loved sister was thought to be lost, it seemed that all the Rogues had lost something of them that day. But a year and a half later was found, of coarse not thinking anything negative of her, her SPARTAN brethren accepted her back with open arms, but they had mistakenly invited in their sister... but also, unknownst to the hoast, an eye for the Covenant.

Other than The Anomaly, Weapon-177 was the main conflict in the Temporal Alternate reality created by several of the UNSC Elite Guard's finest, on a mission of sheer exploration, that turned into utter chaos.
