Neil Stark Watson, known by Beta Squad as Dr. Watson, is an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Captain fighting for the United Nations Space Command, and early member of the PIONEER Project.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Neil was born on March 7th, of 2513, in the thriving metropolis of Johnston City, to Veronica and Smith Watson.
Early in his life, Neil's father was a Vice Admiral in the UNSC Navy. Neil's mother worked as a member of ONI, and was very secretive. Because of his parent's constant absences from his matters, Neil was often failing in school, and spent half of his first years with his grandparents.
When his parents returned from leave, he often went to see them, and they shared stories, (often pulled down to a level not too gruesome for Neil), with Neil. At the age of 10, Neil decided to stay at his grandparent's house forever. He still visited his parents on their leave, but each time the returned, he seemed farther and farther away from them.
At the age of 18, Neil left to join the UNSC. It was the best decision he ever made.
UNSC[]
Training easily, it was Neil's job to keep watch under all other recruits. He took his job seriously, and sped through his career.
Before he knew it he was volunteering for the ODSTs.
The Squad[]
Neil met his squad's new soldiers. Johnathan Gray, Blake Montgomery, Roger Buford, Joe Raleigh, and Steven Ashe.
His squad was perfect. They were always stubborn, and goofing off, but in the end, they completed their mission.
In the midst of a large battle during 2552, they lost one of their men. Steven Ashe. He fought hard to win his mission, but as the rookie of the squad, he was the first, and last, taken out by the Covenant.
The New Guy[]
After the battle, the team was given a new member, Nicholas Anderson, who, in the same battle, had lost all of his squad. They moved Nicholas to the squad. He was the new member, and fit in perfectly with his squad. They were Beta Squad. An elite team of ODSTs.
