History[]
Agrani was a suitable site for a agricultural world for a long time being, with UNSC plans shortly before the Human-Covenant War to colonize it. However, as the war began most of the government forgot these plans and began the long and arduous fight against the alien war machine. As the war drew to a close and the human race dwindled, food was needed. Agrani was remembered along with other worlds. In 2596 a scouting team of 3 Prowler's and 1 Sangheili Assault Carrier found the planet to already be colonized and doing well. The Libertarians had made it there first.
Economics[]
Being an agricultural world it is starkly beautiful in contrast to the core planets of the Republic, with rolling plains and long open grasslands. Although gargantuan amounts of this have been removed for urban development and farming the planet is in perfect tune with nature. The average crops grown on Agrani are maize, potato's, squash, peaches, apples, beans, rice and several other foods. With the high amount of consumables many herds of imported elk, moose, and rancher's cows rely on the wild grasses for sustenance, many growing considerably larger than they would on Earth because of the higher nutritional value. All of this keeps Agrani as the highest grossing AgWorld in the nation and keeps the Libertarians fed.
Military Defenses[]
16 Mass Drivers are situated around the planet for the launching of food and supplies into orbit, however they may also be used as deadly weapons when the needs arises. On the ground militia's are trained and at the ready for combat instruction by the New Liberty Army, and in space Marines are at the ready with 2 of the nations captured CCS-Battlecruisers. Being in a quiet area of the galaxy also has a profound effect on how Agrani has been at peace for so long.
