Physiology

Calaryth's are lumbering, predatory, snow beasts. They can easily chase down large animals (and humans) very fast, as the muscles in their legs have a grasshopper-like spring muscle. The built up kinetic energy allows them to jump almost 70 feet in one bound, a supernatural feet. Calaryth's have long sharp teeth and claws, and their thick skin can take 3 rocket launcher blasts until they die.

Gallery of Sub-Species

Long Armed Calaryths

Long Armed Calaryth's are generally taller and thinner than the regular kind, but have less thick skin and are quite easy to kill. They live above ground, where their small frame can avoid harsh winds and gunfire. They are rarer than any other species on UCP-1972.

Quadrupedal Calaryth

Quadrupedal Calaryth's are basically the female of the species. They are generally more well built and heavier than male Calaryth's, but are constantly burdened by their cubs, which take almost 6 years to grow up, unlike Calaryth prey.

Desert Calaryth

Desert Calaryth's live in the high desert mountains on UCP-1972, and are more rugged and dangerous then any other species on it, besides the Leviathan's. Their fur is a brownish black color.

Calaryth Leviathan's

Leviathan's are by far the largest predatory mammals in history, making a CAT bus look like a car. These lumbering giants are usually, at smallest, 18 feet long and 6 feet wide. In each generation at least 100 are born, and the only heavily documented incidnet of one in combat was during the UCP-1927 Survey Base Gamma Incident, where the largest congregation of the Calaryth species ever seen occured.
